The list and new receipts follow the trip you pick. Forgot a receipt on an earlier trip? Switch to it, add the receipt, then switch back.
A private receipt box for travel. You photograph (or import) a bill, the app reads the merchant, date and total on the phone, you confirm the details, and later you export everything for your expense report. There are no accounts and no AI, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Only in this phone’s browser storage. Photos and details are never uploaded. The one thing that uses the internet is downloading the text-reading engine the first time. Because there is no backup, export your CSV and photos from the Report tab before clearing Safari data or deleting the app.
Once, to download the text reader the first time you capture a receipt (do this on wifi before a trip). After that it works offline. If you capture without internet, the receipt is saved straight away and read next time the app is open and online.
Tap the yellow camera button and photograph the bill, or use Import photos / PDFs on the Receipts tab to pick photos from your library or PDFs from the Files app. You can select several at once.
Yes. If the PDF has real text, the app reads that directly, which is more accurate than reading a photo. Up to 4 pages are imported. The original PDF file is not kept, only a picture of its pages.
In Mail, tap the PDF or image, tap Share, then Save to Files. In Travelsaathi, tap Import photos / PDFs and choose it from Files. (iPhones don’t let web apps appear in the Share menu, so it takes those two steps.)
A trip is a name stamped on each receipt. The name at the top is your current trip: the list shows that trip’s receipts and new receipts are filed into it. Tap the name to switch trips or start a new one. Turn on Show all trips to see everything together.
Tap the trip name at the top, pick the earlier trip, add the receipt, then tap the name again and switch back. If you already added it to the wrong trip, open the receipt and change its Trip field.
A new trip stays available while it’s current. If you switch away before adding anything to it, it disappears. A trip exists as long as it has receipts.
The app’s reading is a guess, especially for crumpled thermal paper. Open the receipt, check the merchant, date, amount and category against the photo, then tap Confirm. Use Needs review only to see what’s left.
If a receipt has a tip line, the card may have been charged more than the printed total (the tip is written in after). Check your card statement for the final amount.
As day/month, unless the receipt is in US dollars, where it’s month/day. If a date could be read both ways the app flags it for you to check.
On the Report tab pick a trip and dates, then tap Copy as table and paste into a spreadsheet or your company’s expense tool. You can also share a CSV, share all the photos (Save to Files, AirDrop or Mail), or make a receipt pack you can save as a PDF.
Fix the fields by hand in the receipt screen. Re-read photo tries again. It helps to photograph the receipt flat, in good light, filling the frame.
Open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and always open it from that icon. Safari looks after the data of installed apps better.
Receipts live only on this phone. Export the CSV and photos from the Report tab before clearing Safari data or deleting the app.
In the share sheet choose “Save to Files” (or “Print” → pinch to open as PDF).
