The list and new receipts follow the trip you pick. Forgot a receipt on an earlier trip? Switch to it, add the receipt, then switch back.
A private receipt box for travel. You photograph (or import) a bill, the app reads the merchant, date and total on the phone, you confirm the details, and later you export everything for your expense report. There are no accounts and no AI, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Only in this phone’s browser storage. Photos and details are never uploaded. The one thing that uses the internet is downloading the text-reading engine the first time. There is no cloud copy, so use Settings → Export all data to make a backup file before clearing Safari data, deleting the app or changing phones.
Once, to download the text reader the first time you capture a receipt (do this on wifi before a trip). After that it works offline. If you capture without internet, the receipt is saved straight away and read next time the app is open and online.
Tap the yellow camera button and photograph the bill, or use Import photos / PDFs on the Receipts tab to pick photos from your library or PDFs from the Files app. You can select several at once.
Yes. If the PDF has real text, the app reads that directly, which is more accurate than reading a photo. Up to 4 pages are imported. The original PDF file is not kept, only a picture of its pages.
In Mail, tap the PDF or image, tap Share, then Save to Files. In Travelsaathi, tap Import photos / PDFs and choose it from Files. (iPhones don’t let web apps appear in the Share menu, so it takes those two steps.)
A trip is a name stamped on each receipt. The name at the top is your current trip: the list shows that trip’s receipts and new receipts are filed into it. Tap the name to switch trips or start a new one. Turn on Show all trips to see everything together.
Tap the trip name at the top, pick the earlier trip, add the receipt, then tap the name again and switch back. If you already added it to the wrong trip, open the receipt and change its Trip field.
A new trip stays available while it’s current. If you switch away before adding anything to it, it disappears. A trip exists as long as it has receipts.
The app’s reading is a guess, especially for crumpled thermal paper. Open the receipt, check the merchant, date, amount and category against the photo, then tap Confirm. Use Needs review only to see what’s left.
If a receipt has a tip line, the card may have been charged more than the printed total (the tip is written in after). Check your card statement for the final amount.
As day/month, unless the receipt is in US dollars, where it’s month/day. If a date could be read both ways the app flags it for you to check.
On the Report tab pick a trip and dates, then tap Copy as table and paste into a spreadsheet or your company’s expense tool. You can also share a CSV, share all the photos (Save to Files, AirDrop or Mail), or make a receipt pack you can save as a PDF.
Fix the fields by hand in the receipt screen. Re-read photo tries again. It helps to photograph the receipt flat, in good light, filling the frame.
Open the Meetings tab and tap + New. Give the meeting a title, date, company and the people who were there. Past companies, people and titles are suggested as you type, and a new name is remembered automatically. The People view lists everyone grouped by company; tap a company name to rename it.
Open the receipt and pick a meeting in the Meeting field. Meetings from the same trip and closest in date are listed first. Choose New meeting… to create one on the spot. Linked meetings show on the receipt row and in the Report export (Meeting, Company and People columns).
Things you promised after a meeting, like “send the deck”. Add them inside a meeting with an optional due date. The Follow-ups tab lists every open one across all trips: overdue first, then today, upcoming and no date. Tick the circle when done. The red number on the tab counts what is overdue or due today.
Settings → Export all data creates one .zip file with every receipt photo, meeting, person, company and follow-up. Tap it once to prepare it and again to save or share it (Save to Files or AirDrop work well). On the new phone, install the app and use Settings → Import backup.
It only adds. Anything in the backup that isn’t on the phone yet is added; anything already here is left exactly as it is, and nothing is deleted. So importing the same backup twice is harmless. The cost is that something you deleted since the backup comes back.
Open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and always open it from that icon. Safari looks after the data of installed apps better.
Everything lives only on this phone. Export a backup before clearing Safari data, deleting the app or changing phones.
In the share sheet choose “Save to Files” (or “Print” → pinch to open as PDF).
